Barbecue Cola Meatballs start with homemade beef meatballs seasoned with dry Ranch mix, then move to the slow cooker in a sauce of ketchup, cider vinegar, cola, onion, green pepper and Worcestershire.
This version uses a two-stage method rather than relying on prepared meatballs: the Ranch-seasoned beef mixture is shaped and baked first, then transferred to the cola barbecue sauce.
After the baked meatballs go into the slow cooker, they cook on low for three hours, followed by another 15 minutes uncovered before serving.
