Beef Stroganoff is carried forward in the site’s legacy records as a recipe from Gourmet Cooking with a Flair (1961). The physical cookbook page has not yet been attached, so its provenance remains marked as likely rather than fully verified.
The current legacy card uses beef cubes with onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, garlic, sour cream, heavy cream and white wine vinegar. Flour thickens the sauce, and the finished Stroganoff is served over rice.
The beef is browned first, the vegetables and seasonings are added, and the creamy mixture then simmers for about an hour until the meat is tender. Those details are preserved from the existing digital record while the original page is being re-cataloged.
